The Utah County Commissioners will present the annual State of the County Address on Monday, June 8. The public is invited to attend. Our three County Commissioners will detail many of the county’s past achievements, as well as announce current plans for the county. The State of the County Address provides an opportunity for residents to learn more about the function of county government, what has been done to enhance communities, and plans for improvement.
The “Utah County Business of the Year” will also be announced at this event, and the county will award one citizen with the “Commissioners’ Medal of Honor” for service rendered in the community.
Commission Chair Larry Ellertson noted, “We live in a dynamic county where much is happening right now and we’re interested in sharing our accomplishments and goals. We’re interested in working with the communities throughout Utah County in making this a wonderful place to work, live, and raise a family.”
The event begins at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 8, and will be held at the Utah County Courthouse, 51 S. University Avenue, Provo, in the south ballroom on the 3rd floor.
